In our recent Outlander On Location visits, we followed in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite Army on the bloody field of Culloden.
The battle took place on 16 April 1746 and was the last pitched battle ever fought on British soil. It is a very special place and an emotional visit, as the bodies of nearly 2,000 Clansmen lie on the field in a series of grim mass graves.
We produced two short videos on our YouTube Channel, the first takes us up to the Jacobite front lines and the second instalment follows in the footsteps of the ill-fated Highland Charge.
Outlander fans will know the connection to this real-life historical location as Jamie and his men find themselves in the thick of the action against the Redcoat Army of King George II.
You can view the videos below and please don't forget to Subscribe to our Channel, so that you don't miss our future uploads. We post videos on all things Outlander, including (non-spoiling) behind the scenes footage of the Outlander filming, as well as TV, Novel and historic locations linked to the wonderful series by Diana Gabaldon:
